My Favorite Styled Session
Okay, saying this is my absolute favorite session might be like saying I have a favorite child, which, for the record, I DON'T! But this shoot was an idea that I conjured up. I had the hat, the necklace, and even the white top. I just needed a spunky, adorable, smiley-faced model to bring my vision to life. I knew just the girl for the job.
Meet Emily. She has been in the sights of my lens for the past few years in the high school band with my son. In marching and concert, with her flute, always smiling, always indulging my nosey camera. She looks sweet, right? Yep, she really is.
I asked her and her freckles if they were interested in a session, and, lucky me, they were!
Not only was it super-fun (as you can hopefully see), these pictures are among my all-time favorites. These are gorgeous in color but I'm a sucker for black and whites. She was easy to work with and needed very little direction.
My son is in college now. The days of photographing the band kids are gone. It was one of the great joys of my life. Best wishes to you as you embark on your journey into the real world. Thank you, Emily (and all the band kids) for the privilege!
